Arborfield Allotments, Car Park & Public Open Space Initiative .

We are proud to announce the successful completion of the Arborfield Allotments, Car Park and Public Open Space project.

Delivered via Crest Nicholson as part of the planning requirements for the new-build estate, this project forms an important part of the wider community infrastructure being provided for residents. The works were completed to support the growing community and provide practical, accessible spaces that will benefit the estate for years to come.

As part of the scheme, EQB Groundworks & Civil Engineering completed a variety of works to support the development of new community facilities and improve access to key local amenities. The project included the construction of a new car park, the preparation of a public open space, and the creation of a fully equipped community allotment area.

The car park has been delivered to support access to local amenities, including the playing fields, playground and surrounding community facilities. Our team carried out the required groundworks, preparation and construction to create a practical, durable and accessible parking area for residents, visitors and families using the local area.

Separately, we completed the ground preparation, and path construction works for a new public open space within the estate.
This included levelling the area, forming accessible routes and creating a usable open space for the community to enjoy. The space will provide residents with an area for recreation, walking and outdoor enjoyment, with final landscaping and playground equipment to be completed by others.

The final element of the project was the creation of a new community allotment area.
This included a selection of individual allotment plots, a dedicated allotment car park, an installed watering system, and individual lockable shed units for each plot. These allotments will give residents the opportunity to grow their own produce, spend time outdoors and connect with others in the local community.

It has been a pleasure to deliver a project that goes beyond standard infrastructure and helps create meaningful community assets. From improving parking provisions to creating public open space and fully equipped allotments, the scheme will provide long-term value for the Arborfield community.
