We were appointed to deliver the groundworks for a new 180 sq/m extension to accommodate the schools need for a larger dining hall. The scheme was connected to their existing canteen which remained live throughout the duration of works therefore many factors were introduced to efficiently isolate the area whilst posing no restriction for the occupiers.
The scheme included the demolition and removal of the existing structures and surfaces, including the retaining of some structures which were reused at a later date. Our team installed new 17m deep piles to form a new structure to support the new raft foundation. The existing services and drainage ws diverted to ensure minimal disruption was made for the the school and they were still operable. In addition to the previous works, we completed full external refurbishment including new turf, paving, tarmac and introduced a new playground/outdoor living space for the occupants.
The extensive groundworks i.e. piling and foundations were all undertaken and delivered during the school holidays to reduce disruption to the school staff and students.
